What are GS1 Data Carriers?

Different kinds of media that can hold GS1 Identification keys and application identifiers. The same content can, in fact, be encoded into different kinds of carriers, depending on what use will be made of it.


All endorsed GS1 data carriers, bar codes that are read by scanning or via EPC/RFID which can be read without direct line of sight, provide security through features such as the FNC1 function code in the start pattern.
