It is a GS1 Global programme designed to improve data quality at the source by providing best practices and auditing the processes Member Organisations have in place for handling Master Data Services. Once a Member Organisation meets the Programme’s certification criteria, they are awarded a Master Data Services Certification seal.
The Brand Owner Certification seal can be obtained by a Member Organisation that has proven to meet the GS1 Brand Owner Certification criteria for Member Organisations that have, or are developing, Brand Owner Certification Programmes in their countries.
The actual certification of a Brand Owner would be done by the Member Organisation.
