The GDSN, using GS1 standards, validates the data using Global Trade Item Number® (GTIN®) Management Rules, assuring the proper use of the GS1 identification numbers (GTIN, GLN, etc) and supports the Electronic Product Code (EPC) used in Radio Frequency Identification (RFID).
The Electronic Product Code (EPC), used in Radio Frequency Identification (RFID), provides the information about the exact location of a product in the system.
