            Can a zero-suppressed GTIN-12 be carried in any other barcode symbol than UPC-E?

            In theory, yes, because the zero-suppressed GTIN-12 is simply a type of GTIN-12. 


            In practice, the GS1 General Specifications only allow these numbers to be encoded in UPC-E symbols, and never in UPC-A barcodes.
