Which DPP information do you envision for textile and footwear products?

Modified on Wed, 18 Jun at 10:08 AM

The exact information requirements for textile and footwear products will be defined by the European Commission in the Textiles Delegated Act.

The DPP data attributes for textile products may potentially include, but not be limited to, the following examples:

  • Manufacturing location details
  • Records of border crossings during transportation, including import and export data
  • Information on raw materials incorporated in the product
  • Conditions during production, such as wastewater management and worker safety standards
  • Environmental impact metrics, including carbon emissions and water consumption
  • Use of chemicals, highlighting any substances involved in manufacturing and dyeing processes
  • Information on recyclability and options for end-of-life processing
  • Details on product durability and possibilities for repair
  • Guidelines for proper care to preserve product quality
