Yes, GS1 barcodes are accepted all over the world.
Please note however that some small shops or specialty stores in the US and Canada are unable to handle EAN-13 barcodes and they may require 12-digit barcodes (UPC codes). Please, check with your trading partner before applying for barcodes.
To obtain your own GS1 Company Prefix (barcode numbers), please contact a GS1 Member Organisation.
