- No restrictions when pre-printed
- If combined with inline printing of variable barcode data it will depend on how many additional attributes are needed (serial number, lot number, date) and their length (serial number up to 20 alphanumeric characters, etc).
- Packaging is also a constraint, as GS1 QR code gets larger (takes up more space) the more characters are encoded.
