Nevertheless, GS1 Member Organisations are providing expert advice about the GS1 Global Traceability Standard and any existing extension, as well as implementation support. 

In the case of an industry sector, you may want to establish a working group with representatives from all types of operators in your environment. GS1 Member Organisations may host and facilitate such working groups. If an industry sector discovers that it requires an extension to the generic standard, the GS1 Member Organisation will advise and support this process.
