Modified on Fri, 30 Aug at 2:40 PM

ISO/IEC 18000-63 is the new name of the former ISO/IEC 18000-6 typeC. This standard is one of a series developed within ISO/IEC JTC1 SC31 subcommittee. This committee is responsible for AIDC (Automatic Identification and Data Capture), ie. RFID and barcode standards.

Following the publication of GS1/EPC Gen2v2 in 2015, ISO/IEC 18000-63 was updated to include optional security commands that allow the use of crypto suites of ISO/IEC 29167.

This important improvement offers many privacy and security features that are critical to certain applications.
