When you need a barcode number, please contact a GS1 Member Organisation. They will explain how you can join GS1 and will provide you with a GS1 Company Prefix as well as the specifications in your language.
You will then be responsible for allocating a unique number to each product from the number bank associated with the Company Prefix in line with the Ten Steps to Barcode Implementation.
